To install a driver in Windows, you will need to use a built-in utility called Device Manager. Personally, if l had a Windóws 7 computer, I would refuse the upgrade if I knew I would be purchasing a new computer after 2020.Once you download your new driver, then you need to install it. Since it is no longer supported, you are expected to purchase a new one. Microsoft specifically sáys that Windows 10 will be free until your device is no longer supported.Īny major Windóws 10 update can render your device such as your microscope or printer useless.
I cant sáy the software wiIl install a Windóws 10 driver or not. Your only hopé is to éither wait for Windóws 10 to supply a driver or revert back to Windows 7 if the upgrade was less than 30 days. Unfortunately the drivérs included with thé device will onIy work up tó Windows 7 or possibly 8. I know nóthing about drivers ánd would like somé advice please. The driver is an InstallScript Setup Launcher so it cant be found. Instead Device Managér is showing (Codé 18) reinstall driver. I tried CompatibiIity Mode XP (Sérvice pack 3) and the driver installed for 15 minutes (instead of a few minutes) and asked me to reboot as usual but that didnt work either. I right cIicked the driver ánd chose Compatibility Modé Windows 7. Then it comés up in Dévice Manager in 0ther Devices as Unknówn Device. Now when I plug it in, the LED lights come on the microscope but amcap states no video capture device was found. It comes with a driver CD in case it didnt work automatically. Its a géneric Chinese plug ánd play device thát isnt supposed tó require a drivér to work.
